The Sun Also Rises

Robert Cohn, Lady Brett Ashley, Pedro Romero, Jake Barnes, Bill Gorton, and Mike Campbell

I feel like Owen Wilson's character in A Midnight in Paris.  I love Ernest Hemingway and the 1920s.  What a great era for literature, clothing and characters <3 ....but damnit Brett!! Why can't you just be with Jake D:

  1. Hi, Erin! I go to the Columbus College of Art and Design and have been following your blog for a while now. I love you stuff. I am BIG Hemingway fan and The Sun Also Rises (or maybe A Moveable Feast) is probably my favorite of his books. What a cool idea to use the literary theme, these pieces are great!

PS- If you like stories about/set in Paris, you should check out Mavis Gallant's short story collection, The Paris Stories. Not set in the 20s, but still really really good.

Anyway, keep up the great work!

  7. Great work. But I think you made Cohn a little too brawny and "larger then life-ish" to fit his more confused, childish manor and I think Jake looks a little too heroic and in-tact to go with his more traumatized character identity.
